Michael C. Story, P.E., Civil/Structural Engineer CE6889
President

Mr. Story returned to R&M in 1990 after being employed from 1986 until October 1990 in San Diego, California, where he concentrated exclusively on structural building design. Prior to that experience, Mr. Story was an engineer with R&M from 1980 until 1986, when he worked on a variety of surveying and civil/structural engineering projects throughout Southeast Alaska. Employment has been in private industry and includes heavy earth construction, civil/structural design, and land and engineering surveys.

J. Mark Pusich, P.E., Civil Engineer CE8152

Mr. Pusich's experience includes construction engineering for heavy (earth/asphalt) construction; civil engineering design, project specifications, and bid-ready documents preparation, cost estimating; construction management/testing of airports, street, forest, and federal aid secondary roadways; various retaining and foundation structures for government and private sector. He has geotechnical engineering studies and subsurface exploration. He has prepared worked on large-scale cadastral surveys and specific engineering site surveys for public works activities. Mr. Pusich currently serves on Juneau's Planning & Zoning Commission, Platting Board, Board of Adjustment, and Wetlands Advisory Board.

Mark Johnson, L.S., Land Surveyor LS7570

Mark Johnson is an Alaska registered land surveyor since 1988 and is a life long resident of Southeast Alaska. Since 1971, Mr. Johnson has worked in both the land and engineering survey fields in Southeast Alaska, working for local, state and federal governments and the private sector. He has completed technical design and field surveys of a majority of subdivisions within Southeastern Alaska, as well as numerous accretion and cadastral surveys.  Mr. Johnson attended the University of Alaska-Southeast.

Noli Batac, ASTM Laboratory Technician

Mr. Batac is currently serving his country in the Alaska Army National Guard.  He joined R&M in January of 2002 as our laboratory technician.  Mr. Batac brings R&M over 10 years of ASTM soils, concrete and asphalt laboratory testing experience from the Republic of the Philippines.  He holds a Bachelor's degree of Engineering Technology from the University of the Philippines where he also worked as a Testing Instructor.  Noli has assisted with field drilling operations and performs all laboratory testing for geotechnical investigations.
 

Jeannie Fabiano, ASTM Laboratory Technician

Ms. Fabiano joined R&M in June 2007. Prior to joining R&M, Ms. Fabiano performed materials testing and civil inspection services in Kodiak. She has 13 years of civil inspection of roads and utility installation for new and existing services for both private and government projects. She has WAQTC certification, and holds a NICET Level 3 in Concrete and Asphalt testing, NICET Level 2 in soils as well as ACI Level 1, Concrete Strength and Field testing.

Chris Crenshaw, Civil Design Engineer & Staff Surveyor

Since Mr. Crenshaw began work with R&M in November 2001, he has worked as a civil engineer and / or staff surveyor on a variety of projects for Federal, State and local governments, as well as for the private sector.  He attended The University of Houston, majoring in Civil Engineering and Mathematics. He has over 15 years of civil engineering and surveying experience in both public and private sector projects in the Houston area.

Charles Orsborn, R&M Staff Surveyor 

Charles (Chuck) Orsborn worked as a field technician, surveyor, and survey party chief since the early 1990's.  He has done multiple surveys for Federal, State, and local governments as well as private landowners and businesses throughout all of Southeast Alaska and has also assisted with field drilling operations .

Adrian Slater, P.E., Civil Engineer CE7351
 

Mr. Slater is a senior civil engineer that specializes in structural design, inspection and investigations, including commercial and residential buildings, bridges, retaining walls and alternate foundation support systems.  Recent projects include several investigations and repair of SIP roof and wall construction for residential structures in Juneau.  His experience also includes contract administration, design and feasibility studies for small hydro-electric power plants, dam safety inspections and rehabilitation.

Shane Young, P.E., Civil Engineer CE10868


Mr. Young is a structural engineer who joined R&M in December 2003.  In 1997, he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has three years of undergraduate level course work from Oregon State University.  Prior to joining R&M, Mr. Young worked for five years as a project engineer for R.F. Stearns, Inc. of Portland, Oregon, a design-build steel construction company specializing in large scale commercial, industrial, recreational, and retail structures.  Since joining R&M, Mr. Young has served as the structural engineer of record for projects such as the First Bank Mendenhall Valley Branch in Juneau, First Bank, Ketchikan, Breeze In store on Concrete Way in Juneau, and the AIDEA ore terminal reactivation project in Skagway.

Kevin Puustinen, Staff Civil Engineer

Mr. Puustinen received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 2003.  He is also a certified nuclear gauge operator.  Kevin has worked on numerous public improvement projects providing civil engineering services on project throughout Southeast Alaska.  He is a life long Juneau resident and has worked for R&M since 1995.  Kevin was a civil design engineer for the Sunny Point Intersection Improvements, Thunder Mountain High School (Juneau), SEARHC Juneau Medical Facility, Alaska Marine Highways Ticketing Building, National Guard Armory Readiness Center and the Juneau Douglas High School renovation.

Andrew White, Staff Civil Engineer

Mr. White received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Alaska-Anchorage in 2005. Since joining R&M in March, 2007, he has worked on the North Douglas Sewer Design; inspections for the Juneau Home Depot and State Office Building  Roof Anchoring Installation.  Prior to joining R&M, Mr. White worked for the State of Alaska Department of Transportation in the Bridge Design Department. He assisted senior engineers with bridge inspections, material counts, and load ratings.  In the construction department, he assisted project engineers with project estimates, electrical inspections, environmental monitoring, communication with contractors, and the design of cast-in-place retaining walls.   Mr. White assisted senior engineers in the Ports and Harbors Department with structural analysis of pedestrian gangways, piers, and harbor fenders.

Jon McElwain, Engineering Technician, Inspector

Mr. McElwain has worked for R&M since October 5, 1999.  He has been actively conducting inspection and testing for the public and private sectors.  In addition, he has worked on a variety of soils, concrete and asphalt testing programs, as well as inspected on local and state government projects. Jon is also a certified nuclear gauge operator.

Michael Limbaugh, Autocad Technician

Mr. Limbaugh came to R&M in July 2004 with 18 years experience in civil, surveying, structural engineering drafting design, graphic arts and graphic presentations.                       

 

 

Edmon Cruz, P.E. Civil Engineer

Mr. Cruz is a Civil Engineer previously located in the Philippines and worked as Geotechnical Engineer in a variety of projects managed by Government and International Consultants such as land development, roads & bridges construction, foundation investigation and recommendations, testing of driven and bored piles, and soils and materials testing. Since relocating to Juneau, he has many ongoing city, state and private projects for Juneau and the surrounding communities of Southeast Alaska.

 

 
 

Joyce Dean, Accountant

Joyce is in the Alaska Army National Guard and is recently back from serving her country in Afghanistan.
